Underserved communities need an ally for proper & potent healthcare. AHEC is that partner in North Alabama.

Education, Financial Aid, & Recruitment for Healthcare Professionals in North Alabama

No matter where you live in Alabama, you deserve access to quality healthcare. To buttress underserved communities throughout the state, we provide placement opportunities and continuing education for practicing professionals. We also keep an eye on the future of healthcare by providing scholarship opportunities and educational assistance for high school and college-age students.

Established as a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2014, the North Alabama Area Health Education (NAAHEC) is located on the campus of Alabama A&M University in Huntsville. Through training, education, and helpful resources for healthcare professionals, we strengthen community access for patients today while inspiring the healthcare workforce of tomorrow.
