Dr. Brooker is a distinguished scientist, educator, and quality management specialist with 28 years of diverse industry and academic research experience in the highly regulated fields of Biotechnology, Toxicology, and Pharmaceuticals. He possesses extensive expertise in analytical testing, method development and validations, reference materials, quality management, and ensuring material standards for compliance. Dr. Brooker has successfully launched new biotechnology products and ensured regulatory compliance.
A classically trained plant pathologist and microbial geneticist, Dr. Brooker has dedicated 14.5 years to higher education. He is a tenured Professor of Genetics with a robust background in externally funded competitive research, product patenting, and commercialization. Dr. Brooker has a proven track record of securing external financial support for research projects, science education initiatives, and graduate student assistantships. He is a leader in campus and regional faculty committees, multidisciplinary women’s studies programs, and science teacher professional development. Dr. Brooker is an enthusiastic mentor, partner, and advocate for students and STEM education
